PRE 2
For those confident floating on front / back, and teaches forward propulsion by kicking. Water safety focus and builds on independent swimming skills.
PRE 1
Introduction to lessons without a parent / guardian in the water. Promotes water confidence and safety, and introduction to essential swimming skills.
INF 2
Introduction to the water, for infants aged 12 to 24 months. Continues building water confidence. Focuses on preparing for water submersion.
INF 3
For infants from 24 months to 3 years. Focuses on building water confidence and developing the skills for independent movement in the water.
INF 1
Introduction to the water, for infants aged 6 to 12 months. Builds water familiarisation, and focuses on early water confidence and basic motor skills.
PRI 1
Basic water safety awareness through fun, structured lessons around essential swimming skills and travel movements of 5m on front and back.
PRI 2
Develops safe independent swimmers to swim 10m on their front and back, while they continue to learn and develop essential swimming skills.
PRI 3
Develops and builds rhythm in freestyle and backstroke swimming for 15m. Introduces breaststroke kicking and being submerged in deep water.
PRI 4
Continues with freestyle / backstroke development, and teaches breaststroke and advanced skills e.g. sculling / tumble turns. For those who can swim 25m.
PRI 5
Develops correct technique for all four competitive strokes, with a focus on correct breathing and timing. For those who can swim 100m freestyle and tread water for 2 minutes. Introduces students to butterfly arms and timing.
PRI 6
Develops effective stroke techniques for all 4 competitive strokes over 25m to specific City of Sydney proficiency. Children will complete 50 and 100m using correct techniques, and perform a range of advanced aquatic skills.
AdultBEG
For participants aged 18+ to promote water confidence and develop core aquatic skills. Improves water confidence, buoyancy, balance and travelling 10m in the water.
AdultINT
For participants aged 18+, able to swim at least 10m on their front and back. Improves their stroke technique, builds on previous core skills and introduces deep water. Also introduces strokes across a distance of 10 metres and develops streamlining, rotational skills and sculling.
